Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Friday asked the party men not to hold any programme blocking Dhaka streets.
“Holding any political programme occupying roads is creating disorder in the streets. So, we are thinking to hold the rally and procession on the public holiday in future,” he was talking to reporters while distributing warm clothes among the poor people at Dhanmondi Road No. 32 in Dhaka.
Quader said, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instructed the party men to refrain from holding political programmes occupying roads.
He also said that the government has taken steps to ease traffic jam in the city.
