The members of the Jubo Red Crescent Society under the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) stood beside the floating poor people of the capital, who are being affected due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Jubo Red Crescent Society members distributed cooked food among the poor, low-income and floating people yesterday night in various parts of the capital as part of their month-long Programme during the Holy month of Ramadan. Meanwhile, the members of the Jubo Red Crescent Society distributed cooked food in packets on Sunday afternoon among the poor people in various areas of the capital, said a press release of BDRCS. The volunteers of the BDRCS have continued their various operations across the country to prevent and control COVID-19 like distributing leaflets to create awareness, health safety materials like soaps, hand sanitizers, masks, PPEs, motivating people to hand washing and maintaining social distancing.
Besides, the volunteers are also spraying disinfectant at hospitals, various ministries and departments, offices of the law enforcement agencies, mosques, temples, other places of worships, media houses and other public as well as private offices.
The society is also distributing food parcels across the country through their 68 units based in 64 districts through maintaining social distancing.
