Red Crescent, Red Cross distribute PPEs

Four Covid-19 dedicated hospitals in the capital have received a total of 28,000 sets of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) from Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) and the Swiss Red Cross Bangladesh Country Office and in association with Novartis Bangladesh office.
The health safety equipment were handed over in the training room of the headquarters of the BDRCS in the capital on Wednesday, according to a press release.
The four hospitals which received the PPE, worth Tk2.27 crore, are Holy
Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital, Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital, Dhaka Medical College Hospital, and Kurmitola General Hospital.
The government has officially started the operations of Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital as a Covid-19 dedicated hospital, said the press release.
BDRCS Vice Chairman and IFRC Governing Board member Dr Habibe Millat, MP, was present at the PPE handover ceremony as the chief guest and handed over the PPE to the directors of the four hospitals.
