A court here on Sunday ordered the officer-in-charge of Fatikchhari Police Station to record a case against a couple and their daughter over the killing of their domestic help Kusum Akhter, 20. Senior Judicial Magistrate-5 Shahidullah Kaisar passed the order at noon, said Advocate Imran Nayeem. He said the court ordered the OC to record the case and take legal actions over the murder.
It is ordered the OCs of Fatikchhari and Khulshi police stations to submit a report on whether any case or unnatural death case was filed over the incident.
Victim’s father Ramjan Ali filed a case with Judicial Magistrate Court Shipul Kumar Dey on November 1, 2018.
The accused were homeopathic practitioner Md Mostafa, 50, his wife Chowdhury Ferdous, 45, and their daughter Smrity Majumdar, 28, residents of Koterpara area in Fatikchhari upazila. According to the case statement, Kusum Akhter used to work at the couple’s house as a domestic help.
