Kishoreganj District Administration organised a victory rally, discussion, essay , quiz competitions, prize distribution and sneering of films on the Liberation War at in the district town and 13 upazilas yesterday.
Noted politicans, law maker, freedom fighters, cultural personalities, cultural activities, government officials and employees, sports organisation, NGOs, scouts, rovers, police band parties, RAB, Answer-VDP and people from all starta of life al participated in the rally.

Narsingdi Correspondent reports: The people of Narsingdi yesterday celebrated the historic 7th March speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman recognized by UNESCO with various programmes. The day programme began with the playing of the National Anthem to show respect the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rhman all martyrs.Countless people from all walks of life including government officials gathered at the grand Ananda procession with banners, festoons and placards at local Muslehuddin Bhuyian stadium organized by District Administration. They were chanting slogans, Joy Bangla and Joy Bangabandhu.

BSS from Rajshahi says: People of all-strata here yesterday celebrated the UNESCO recognition of the historic March 7 Speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in a befitting manner.
The March 7 speech of Bangabandhu has been included in the Memory of World International Register, a list of world’s important documentary heritage maintained by UNESCO.
UNESCO formally recognised the historic March 7 speech of Bangabandhu as part of the world’s documentary heritage by the announcement of the Director General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova, at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris in October. The district administration organized a huge colourful procession from Alupatty crossing on the occasion. People from all walks of life including government officials, freedom fighters, political leaders, cultural activists, social-workers, teachers, students and media men joined the rally with massive joy, happiness and enthusiasm.
After parading some city streets, the procession ended at Rajshahi College premises where a discussion meeting and film show was held.
To mark the celebration, a cultural function was arranged at Shilpakala Academy auditorium.
Similarly, Rajshahi City Corporation and different educational institutions including Rajshahi University, Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology and Rajshahi Medical College also celebrated the recognition through separate programmes.
BSS from Gaibandha adds: UNESCO Recognition of historic March 7 speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as a world documentary heritage was celebrated yesterday in the district as elsewhere in the country in a befitting manner. Marking the celebration, the district administration chalked out the elaborate programmes.
Superintendent of police (SP) Mashrukur Rahman Khaled, president of district Awami League Advocate Syed Shams-ul-Alam Hiru, general secretary Abu Bakar Siddique, mayor of Gaibandha Municipality Advocate Shah Masud Zahangir Kabir Milon and freedom fighter Goutam Chandra Modok were present as guests of honor while assistant commissioner of DC office Rakibul Hasan was the moderator.
