The State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Monnuzan Sufian, MP and KCC Mayor Talukdar Abdul Khaleque were accorded warm reception recently at Daulatpur central Shahid Minar Square in Khulna city.
The reception ceremony was jointly arranged by Daulatpur and Khanjahan Ali Thana units Awami League.
The State Minister for Labor and Employment Begum Monnuzan Sufian, MP was present as Chief guest while KCC Mayor Talukdar Abdul Khaleque were present as special guests in the function.
Sheikh Sayed Ali, Chairman of Bangladesh Jute Association (BJA) and also the President of Daulatpur Thana unit of Awami League presided over the discussion meeting.
Shahidul Islam Bondo, general secretary of Daulatpur Thana unit Awami League moderated the meeting.
1 No. Ward councilor of KCC Sheikh Abdur Razzak, 2 No. Ward councilor Md. Saiful Islam, 3 No. Ward councilor Alhaj Master Abdus Salam, 4 No. Ward councilor Kabir Hossain Kobu Molla, 5 No. Ward councilor Sheikh Mohammad Ali ( Who is also a leader of Daulatpur Thana unit Teachers’Association ) and 6 No. Ward councilor Sheikh Shamsuddin Ahmed Prince gave garland greetings to the chief guest and the special guest. After the meeting, an enjoyable cultural function was held by the artists of Sammilito Shangshkritik Jote’s Daulatpur unit.
Among others who addressed the meeting are – Freedom Fighter Md. Nur Islam Bando, freedom fighter Alhaj Maksud Alam Khwaja, advocate Sardar Anisur Rahman Poplu, Vice President of Daulatpur Thana unit Awami League and 5No. Ward Councilor Sheikh Mohammad Ali, President of 6 No. Ward unit Awami League SM Abdul Haque, President of Bangabandhu Parishad’s Daulatpur unit SM Nurul Haque Nuru, Jubo League leader Rana Parvez Sohel, Khulna city unit Sramik League leader Md. Mizanur Rahman Milton, some other leaders and activists of Awami League and its front organizations.
In the speech, the State Minister for Labor and Employment Begum Monnuzan Sufian, MP said, When Awami League comes to the power, massive development works are implemented in the south-western region of the country.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been struggling relentlessly with a view to create Bangladesh as ”Sonar Bangla” and the government under her efficient leadership has turned Bangladesh into a role model in the world. Everybody have to work altogether so that the government of Sheikh Hasina may continue all the development works well.
Terming the Awami League government as ” Development friendly”, the State Minister said, Give us time a little, we’ll give you much more development works for Khulna inhabitants as like as other parts of the country.
