Reception accorded to 62 freedom fighters

Natore District Police accorded reception to thirty valiant freedom fighters of Bangladesh Police in Natore on Sunday morning marking the Goldren Jubilee of Victory Day.
Besides, the reception programme a discussion was held at Natore Police Lines at around 10 am.
Superintendent of Police Liton Kumar Saha was present as the chief guest. Police Bureau of Investigation Superintendent of Police Sharif Uddin and Bir Pratik Md. Solaiman, among others, spoke on the occasion with Natore Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Md Mohsin in the chair.
In his speech, Superintendent of Police Liton Kumar Saha highlighted the heroism of the police freedom fighters in the great Liberation War and urged every policeman to play their due role in safeguarding the independence of the country. The present government is honoring the freedom fighters by increasing the freedom fighters’ allowance, ensuring quota facility in employment and giving them state status, he added. On the occasion, Natore District Police greeted the freedom fighters and gave them gifts.
Sylhet Bureau adds: Officials of Sylhet District Police arranged a reception for Police freedom fighters and family members of the martyred at Shilpakala Academy auditorium in Sylhet City on Thursday.
District Police has accorded a reception to 32 valiant freedom fighters (FF) and family members of the martyred as recognition to their supreme sacrifices in the country’s great War of Liberation in 1971.
Sylhet District Superintendent of Police Mohammad Farid Uddin PPA presided over the reception and Sylhet Range DIG Mofiz Uddin Ahmed PPM was present as the chief guest.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) of Sylhet District Md. Mahfuz Afzal, Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters and Media) Md. Lutfar Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Police of Golapganj Circle Rashedul Haque Chowdhury, Zakiganj Circle were present at the reception conducted by Assistant Superintendent of Police (SAF) Sheikh Muttazul Islam. Additional Superintendent of Police Zakir Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police of Osmaninagar Circle Md. Rafiqul Islam along with officers and employees of different levels of the district and invited police heroic freedom fighters and members of their families were present.
Sylhet Range DIG Mofiz Uddin Ahmed PPM said the present government under the dznamic an visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been implementing various benevolent programs for the welfare of the FFs and their family members.
“All of us should have to take the responsibility and stand beside the great sons of the soil for their overall welfare,” he added.
Terming the freedom fighters as the best sons of the soil, Dr Kabir said the local administration will do all possible for their welfare in the days to come.
The government is very much aware of the freedom fighters, best sons of the soil, alongside improving their living and livelihood conditions, he mentioned.
He urged the members of the new generation particularly the students to know the life and works of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to become patriotic and Bengali nationalistic.
“The new generation must follow the ideals of Bangabandhu for becoming the patriotic citizens of the country,” he said, adding that they should also listen to the speeches of Bangabandhu meticulously.
Bangladesh emerged as an independent country in 1971 under the dznamic and farsighted leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, he said.
