Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said they want to face touring South Africa with full confidence despite their rival’s boast of having a flattering previous statistics.
He was talking to the reporters at a pre-match press conference Saturday at the conference room of the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The first T20 match will be played today (Sunday) at 1 pm.
“We have played well against India in the recently concluded series and hope that the recent experience will inspire the team to perform well against South Africa,” the captain said.
Mashrafe however categorically admitted that the touring side is clearly far ahead of them in T20 cricket. South Africa has strong batting and bowling attack and explosive fielding side, who are capable to save 15 to 20 runs against any team.
The speedster said: “I want to say to my teammates to continue to play the game with full courage as we are on a winning track. We should try our level best to keep up the good work.”
The second and final T20 match will be held on Tuesday (July 7) at the same venue.
