Among the actresses, who are acting in role of mother in the film industry, Rebeka is now in the limelight by virtue of her acting skill and quality. Right now she is passing very busy days with acting in role of mother in different films.
Rebeka is now acting in Safi Uddin Safi’s Black Money, Habibul Islam Habib’s Ratrir Jatri, Shamim Ahmed Roni’s Mental, Shafiq Hasan’s Dhumketu and Bidyut’s Sholo Ana Prem. In these movies, she is acting in role of mother.
While talking in this regard Rebeka told this correspondent, “I am very much satisfied about my present position in the film industry. I can say specially the name of late Shibli Sadik Bhai who has cooperated me a lot to establish as an actress in the film industry. To work in those films, I have become Rebeka to all. It is really a prideful matter for me. Everybody pray for me as I can successfully continue my acting career in the big screen in the long run.”
It may be mentioned that in 1985, when she was a student of Class X Rebeka started her acting career in the film industry by Ibne Mizan’s movie Rajbodhu.
Hailed from old Dhaka Rebeka first acted in role of a heroine in Shibli Sadik’s directed a movie titled Arjon. Later, as a heroine, she acted in Ajmal Huda Mithu’s Chor Dakat Police, Shibli Sadik’s Maa Mati Desh, Nadim Mahmud’s Andolon, Firoz Al Mamun’s Komolar Bonobash, etc.
She last performed against Omar Sunny in Saidur Rahman Sayeed’s movie Monafeq.
Rebeka first started to perform in role of mother by Kalam Kaisar’s directed a movie titled Chorom Protishodh. She acted in role of hero Reubel’s mother in the film. Later she has been working in role of mother till now.
Born on March 11 Rebeka has one son named Rafat Rouf and one daughter named Rakamoni. She feels lucky because she got the opportunity to work with her favourite heroine Shabana in two movies – Ekti Sangsar-er Golpo and Ghor Duar, Rebeka said.
