REB plans to give 5,000 power links this month

Rural Electrification Board (REB) plans to give electricity connections to about five thousand families within this month under spot monitoring Programme. As part of the activities yesterday (Saturday), REB authorities received applications, deposit money and visit wearing houses.

Shahidul Karim, Press consultant Talukther Rumy, Deputy General Manager of Zinzira Md Mizanur Rahman, among others, were present at the function.  
The REB officials in this programme created enthusiasm among local residents, who are waiting for electricity connection. REB will set up camps in different unions of Keraniganj Upazila to provide electricity connection to five thousand families.
REB will also implement spot monitoring programme at Nababganj and Dohar Upazilas.
REB has so far given electricity connection to one crore and 20 lakh families under 72 Palli Bidyut Samity in the country.
