Senior journalist and former president of Jatiya Press Club Reazuddin Ahmed, is undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) of a city hospital, with Covid complications.
M Masrur Reaz, son of Reazuddin and also chairman of private sector think-tank Policy Exchange of Bangladesh, requested all to pray
for the quick recovery of the veteran journalist, said a press release.
Reazuddin, also a former president of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists and former editor and Publisher of the News Today, was admitted to the United Hospital in Dhaka on Thursday (16 December).
The journalist was shifted to the ICU on Sunday morning after his oxygen level dropped.
Reazuddin Ahmed received the ‘Ekushey Padak’ in 1993 for his contribution to journalism.
