Rear Admiral Ashraful Haque Chowdhury has taken over as the Director General (DG) of Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) on Tuesday.
Ashraful was commissioned in Executive Branch of Bangladesh Navy on January 1,1988.
He participated in various seminars and symposiums abroad as the representative of Bangladesh Navy.
Ashraful also performed his duty as the Observer of UN Peace Keeping Mission.
Prior to his new appointment Ashraful was Commander of Khulna Naval zone.
