Reading of books enhance global knowledge : IIUC

Pro-Vice Chancellor (current charge) of International Islami University ChittagongProf. Dr.Mohammad Delwar Hossain said reading of books testified the thrust of knowledge and at one state readers became global citizen with knowledge of international problems.
This view was expressed by the Pro-vice chancellor at the prize giving ceremony of the Books Reading Competitions as arranged by the IIUC Research centre and British council at university campus on Wednesday as chief guest. Convener of the program Associate Prof. Junaid Kabir presided over it . Country Director of British council Ms. Barbara Wekham was the special guest in it. Among others, Ataharuddin, Saidul Islam, Engr. Abdul Gafur, Dr. Md. Abul Kalam, Md. Rafiqul Islam , Abdul Malek, chowdhury Golam Mowla were present on the occasion.
The chief guest in his brief deliberations emphasized the reading of books and said books reading can bring solutions of coordinated knowledge and earmarked the reading as key of knowledge. The special guest also addressed the prize giving programs and said BC is conducting books reading competitions in 140 countries across the world during the last 80 years, IIUC sources said.
