Adieu Queen Elizabeth
Death is inevitable but nobody can escape death. Having served 70 years as the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland the Queen Elizabeth II expired at 96 years on September 6 in 2022 who in fact showed her strength and sympathy in her conduct of in domestic and international relations. She was the longest serving monarch in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. As a matter of fact, Queen Elizabeth paid visits to East Pakistan and Bangladesh as well during her career. She became head of the commonwealth.
Incidentally this writer has had the opportunity to meet Queen Eizabeth and her husband Duke of Edinburgh while they were on a visit to Bangladesh at the invitation of the President of Hussain Mohammad Ershad of Bangladesh. A group of British journalists, Bangladesh High commissioner to Great Britain late Fakhruddin Ahmad along with the Queen Elizabeth travelled by train to visit model village of President Ershad which was located 35 miles south of Dhaka. All trees on the road side decorated while plenty of fishes were released at the pond. The Bangladesh High Commissioner was extremely annoyed who was felt disgusted because instead of showing real village life to the Queen, an artificial village was presented to the Queen. The Duke of Edinburgh visited Sylhet to have a meeting Manager of the British in teagarden.

Upcoming T-20 World Cup!
In the stormy arena of the T-20 format of cricket, the statistics of winning and losing in the last 123 matches at home-ground and the outer world is not at all hopeful and promising for the country’s cricket. In the short format of T20, the absence of professionalism of the country’s cricketers has been disclosed at all three levels-batting, bowling, and fielding. There is also the absence of cricket-oriented body language on the playing field, a lack of mutual understanding among teammates, and a shortage of cricket-playing sound confidence.
In this short version of highly competitive cricket, it is imperative to be determined to play with the best of team skills along with the fullest confidence. The BCB selectors, team management, coaches, and captain-all have to take timely cricket-friendly decisions designed to protect the image of cricket in the country.
To put an end to the long-standing cricketing disappointment as well as unsought performance, there can be no alternative to prove their cricket playing skill & ability in the upcoming T20 World Cup held in Australia.
