In Ramzan, people suffer most due to price hike

The month of Ramzan is going on. The rising prices of daily necessities have put the poor and the middle class at risk, as well as the upper middle class. It is actually a vicious cycle in the Ramzan days to raise the prices of daily necessities. It happens almost every year.
The government needs to ensure that the prices of daily necessities are within the reach of the common man in this month particularly. Market control is not possible by simply setting the price of the goods. The administration should monitor the market regularly. Unscrupulous traders should be brought under the law and given exemplary punishment. Only then it will be possible to control the market.

Prevent Illegal Sand Extraction

Unplanned sand extraction and whimsical river excavation have been posing serious threat to biodiversity and causing river erosion in different parts of the country.
Some local musclemen often control Balu Mahal (sand extraction zone) illegally. So, the respective authorities should take required measures to conduct a survey for Balu Mahal and fix the quantity of sand that can be extracted.
Proper initiative, coordinated effort and a unified system are highly expected from the authorities concerned with an aim of ending-up indiscriminate sand extraction and saving the country’s rivers from erosion.
