Quality Engineering Education
We have been observing that during recent decades, opportunity of engineering education expanded in Bangladesh much. Number of public universities and private universities has been increased as well as engineering subjects. With increase of quantity we need development of quality as well. Demand for increasing relation between industry and education has come up also for discussion. For example, students are studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering in universities. Are the students are getting practical experience in actual work places?
Government company Power Grid Company of Bangladesh can provide opportunity to students in their 125 grid sub-stations operating through out the country. The company deals with high voltage and quantity of power transmission. It has enough scope for enriching knowledge base of students. But public and private universities hardly approached the company to supplement students’ knowledge. The company high ups also did not come up to increase knowledge base of Electrical and Electronic Engineering students. But it is very necessary. Different subjects of engineering education could be enriched knowledge base of students providing practical training in relevant entities.
I would like to request public and private universities to develop close relation with industrial units and relevant entities to enhance practical knowledge of engineering students for betterment of the country.

Just be humane, not blind
We abhor wars where innocent people lose their lives and many become maimed, so war should be shunned.
For whatever reason Russia has attacked Ukraine and the western countries have become very angry and lamenting about innocent people being killed.
My question is where was their sympathetic attitude when US attacked Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Palestine and millions of people died as a result?
The human toll for Iraqis is much greater, since March2013 there have been nearly 180,000 documented violent civilian deaths.
The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have killed at least 500,000 according to a new report.
Those who were killed in the above mentioned countries, were not they human beings? So, this sympathetic attitude of the western countries towards Ukrainians seems like “crocodile tears”.
