An Urge To Dhaka South
City Corporation
Dhaka South City Corporation’s 50th Ward consists of some parts of Jatrabari which is considered as one of the most important area of Dhaka because of its location. But if anyone goes through the road of this area, he will be stunned to see the heap of garbage and huge dust on the road. However, instead of the bad situation in other parts, underneath of Mayor Mohammad Hanif Flyover is worst place where garbage, dust, stools, urine everything exists for long. The cleaning workers of the Dhaka South City Corporation do not clean the road of this area regularly. As a result, a huge amount of sands and angularities have been gathered on the road. The garbage which dumped on the road spread stench in the air.
So it is becoming very difficult for residents of this area to walk in those roads. Because of the garbage and dust, people of this area are suffering from asphyxia and various skin diseases.
It’s very rare to see a cleaner who is cleaning road in this area. We are to close down our window all the day round because of dust. We could not walk in the road because of bad odor. So it’s our earnest request to the authorities to take necessary steps to make the area neat and clean.
