Corona Vs Sports
It is interesting that the corona devastation could not stop the human determination to hold the World Olympics, the Copa America and the European championship. About 206 countries and regions have sent 11,238 athletes in the World Olympics underway in Tokyo, Japan. They are vying for 339 gold medals, equal number of silvers and 339 plus bronze medals in the 15-day tournament. Athletics, swimming and gymnastics together have about one-third of the total medals.
Those who take part in any sport competition; they are recognized as ambassadors of their respective countries. Bangladesh are also there. We hope that our athletes will do their best to win a medal.
