Rickshaws In The Capital
Dhaka is known as the ‘city of rickshaws’. According to a statistic, by the end of 2019, the number of registered rickshaws in Dhaka city was 12 lakh. The number has increased by the time. There are also unregistered rickshaws. However, this huge number of rickshaws is one of the reasons behind the traffic jam in Dhaka city.
So controlling the number of rickshaws is an imperative to control traffic hazard in the capital. The administration should pay kind attention to this.
