Delightful football

Argentina won their 15th title in the Copa America Cup after 28 years, while World No. 1 footballer Messi won his first international title for his country- Argentina- at Marakana Stadium in Brazil. On the other hand, across the Atlantic in the East, Italy won their second continental title beating hosts England at Wembly in London.
More than sixty thousand spectators were present in the stadium, but most of them returned with tears in eyes. Nevertheless the world witnessed a new Italy in the world of football. Coach Mancini has instilled the spirit of attacking football at the cost of ultra-defensive strategy that has helped Italy win the title after 52 years.
In this regard it is to be said that Spain must have the shooters to advance further. Passing football is not enough.
In the 2022 World Cup to be held next year in Qatar in the desert, if England want to win the World Cup, the coach should be careful about selecting shooters at the time of taking penalty kicks.
There is no doubt that Argentina and Messi will try their best to capture third world title; contrarily, Brazil need another Garincha and Pele.

Hats off Bangladesh

We congratulate Bangladesh for beating hosts Zimbabwe in the lone cricket Test massively. Surely this victory will inspire our cricketers to perform superbly in the coming World T-20 Championship and other tournaments. There is no doubt that the Bangladeshi cricketers have their potentials to earn world title in at least one form of cricket. They need proper patronage and supports to surge ahead.
In this regard, we shall request our cricketers to study the Test cricket matches played in the fifties to eighties, particularly the Aussies-Windies series 1960-61 that has no comparison.
We again congratulate our cricketers.
