May Bangladesh always be able to help the needy
I am feeling very glad by learning that Bangladesh donated $7.7 million to Sudan which will be used for rebuilding its battered economy from years of corruption and sanctions.
Last year, following a similar IMF initiative, Bangladesh provided TK 8.2 crore to Somalia.
Bangladesh also made $ 250 million currency swap agreement with Sri Lanka to replenish the island nation’s fast — depleting foreign reserve and ease pressure on its exchange rate.
Bangladesh is not a rich country but it is extending its helping hand to the needy. We are feeling proud, may it always be able to do so.
