Baseless Remarks
The immediate past DUCSU Vice-President often makes comments about the political situation of the country. As a citizen of the country, he can do it, but cannot generate confusion. Actually he has failed to protect the dignity and image of his dignified position. His latest comment is the testimony thereof.
Can he explain the characteristics of a true Muslim if he is asked to? In this regard, I like to draw his attention to a Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (Sm). He said, call not one disbeliever or hypocrite, for if he is not, the words so used shall strike back the speaker. Surely the ruling party abounds with the true Muslims; otherwise Qawmi degree would not have got the recognition.
Finally he is requested to refrain from issuing such statements as make chaos in the society, because anarchy is worse than slaughter. (Sura Baqarah, Verse No. 193 and 217).

Make Roads Safe For All
To reduce road accidents and bring back discipline in the public transport sector, special attention needs to be paid to the welfare of transport workers by the concerned owners and their associations. On the other hand, it is essential to take required initiatives and execute proper management in collaboration with the government and non-government interventions to create skilled, professional, responsible, and well familiar with road safety drivers in a projected way.
The licensing as well as renewal policy needs to be amended to annex some security requirements. Driver’s assistants should never be seated in the driving seat. Besides, the movement of unauthorized transports like CNG run and battery-powered auto-rickshaws, Nachimon, Karimon, Bhatvati, etc. should be banned on the highways.
Above all, the effective implementation of the Road Transport Act-2018 is essential as it does not exist in practice on paper only. We hope, the concerned authority will pay heed to adopt the prescribed measures for turning the road safe for its commuters.
