A very rare example
When news of all sorts of brutality reaching us every day, senseless killings are going on, children are being murdered ruthlessly, parents are killing their offsprings, sons and daughters are also murdering their parents, violent deaths have become a common occurrence, we got a good news in all senses.
In the above situation the news titled ‘Hero dies a tragic death’ published in an English Daily on August16, 2016 filled our hearts with sadness and at the same time lifted it by learning that there are still people who will not hesitate to endanger their lives to save others.
We learned that 26 year old pickup driver Sarwar Hossain drowned in a canal when he tried to save two University students. One of them was bathing when he began drowning, seeing that his friend jumped in but both of them struggled with the strong current. Seeing this Sarwar Hossain jumped in risking his life, he was able to rescue the lives of the two students but lost his own.
We are proud of his heroic deed, may he find eternal peace.
