Road safety
During the Eid, majority of the people travel by bus as they cannot avail railway tickets. Unfortunately, a lot of bus drivers resort to reckless driving which results in fatal accidents. Also, buses that are not fit for long distance travel are brought to the roads to meet the increased demand.
We hope this year the authority will give due importance to road safety and make sure that the people enjoy a safe journey to and from home.

Argentine tragedy
About 4,34,17,000 Argentines did not want to hear from Lionel Messi his retirement, but to see his jubilant return with the cup they have been longing for long 23 years. Instead of becoming national hero, Messi, whom many rate as the world’s best footballer, became the tragic hero of Argentina as he missed the penalty in the tie-breaker that presented indomitable Chile a second consecutive triumphant in the Copa America Cup Football Championship concluded in the USA on June 26.
Messi is not alone in the world. Zico set the example in a quarterfinal match that carried France in the World Cup Football 1986. The Brazilians have not forgotten that catastrophe till date.
Messi has retired in grief. It is not the remedy of his failure. He should have rather taken oath to return like a lion from the next World Cup to be held in Russia two years later.
In this regard, we congratulate Chile, who retaining the Copa America Cup have sent a note of strong warning to the World Cup’s European contenders. There is no individual superstar in the team. The superstars are speed and hard work. Anyone who watched the final match must agree that Chile had set up new techniques of winning a soccer match.
