Some sensational cricketing moments
The West Indians needed 19 runs in the last over of the match to annex the T20 World Cup Cricket for the second time. Certainly it was almost an impossible task. But to the utmost surprise of the cricket world, batsman Carlos translated the dream into reality, hitting four sixes in the first four balls. A friend of mine compared it with fairy-tale. Yet the West Indian players, particularly Samuels, are subject to severe criticism for incourteous manners in the field and the press briefing.
Bangladesh needed two runs in the last three balls of the match to outclass India. But to the extreme surprise of all, Mushfiqur and Mahmudullah lifted the ball in the air for the Indians, while Shuvagata failed to strike and Mustafiz’s desperate attempt for a run at least found no home. My friend compared Bangladesh’s failure with inferno.
Still we can boost of Mustafizur Rahman who took nine wickets in three matches, five against New Zealand. Cutter Master Mustafiz’s technique is a mystery to the cricket experts, and that is why he has been selected for the T20 World Cricket team.
