Simply poor performance
Bangladesh Football team produced an extremely shameful performance in the second round of the World Cup 2018 and the Asia Cup 2019. They collected one point only in eight matches, scored two goals and conceded 32 goals to stay at the rock bottom of the point’s table of Group B.
As per rule of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Bangladesh will take part in the play-off date and opponents whereof will be declared soon by the AFC. A friend of me said, ” I still doubt our team’s success in the play-off, because the players have lost their both energy and spirits for lagging behind the other Asian teams in skills and technique.”
The Bangladesh Football Federation officials should know that mere lectures cannot translate dreams into reality in absence of proper planning and execution.
“Frequent change of coaches, lack of physical fitness and conviction are our disqualifications,” says a former footballer, “We need to adopt the Spain’s Tiki-Taka technique if we want to fight the top nations of Asia and at the same time the footballers must have freedom to choose their clubs.”
By this time, Australia, China, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Syria, Thailand, UAE and Uzbekistan have sailed into the third round of the World Cup Football 2018 and the final round of the Asia Cup Football 2019. As regions, West Asia have five representatives, East Asia three, Central Asia two and South East Asia one only.
