Save Bangladesh football

Bangladesh football team will play their last match of the World Cup Football 2018 Asia Zone qualifiers against Jordan in Amman on March 24. Bangladesh are now staying at the rock-bottom in Group B of Round 2, earning just one point in seven matches, scoring two goals only in favour and conceding 24, and thereby exposed the team’s dismal future.
The soccer experts think that powerful Jordan will take the visitors easy, because their crucial and must-win match is against Asia Champions Australia in Sydney, as the team from West Asia trail the group leaders by two points. Contrarily, the hosts will play desperately at least for one point to advance to the next round.
But our point is why did Bangladesh cut such a sorry figure as none expected? A senior sports reporter said that our footballers had no physical fitness, individual skills, stamina and strength required for playing a football match. He added, elimination did not appear as surprise to him, because the Bangladesh Football Federation had not devised any workable planning to improve the standard of soccer in the country. In addition, the BFF does not maintain football calendar. As a result, the Office League, the Independence Cup Football, the Inter-District Championship and the President Cup are not held.
A soccer fan said that the Bangladesh League had, in fact, damaged the country’s soccer instead of contributing to improving the standard. This competition must be stopped at once to reintroduce the Dhaka Senior Division Football League.
Will the BFF listen to our good advice? The soccer fan questioned.
