Congratulation to the booters
When the whole country plunged into disappointment and frustration because of the cricket debacle, football brought good news to us and we can now expect more from our footballers who defeated Nepal 2-1 to advance to the semifinal of the South Asian Games Soccer in Assam, India on Thursday last.
Bangladesh will now meet hosts India in the first semifinal while Maldives will play against Nepal in the second semifinal. It is mentionable that South Asian powerhouse Afghanistan had been moved to the Central Asian Zone while Pakistan withdrew from the soccer competition due to continuous poor form.
The nation can console themselves if Bangladesh win gold in soccer. We wait for that.
