Endless traffic jam
The construction work of Moghbazar-Malibagh flyover has been going on at snail’s pace adding woes to the city commuters. The earlier deadline has elapsed but no progress has so far been observed. In the meantime, the cost of the project has gone up. Due to slow progress of the project, the traffic jam in the surrounding areas seems to be endless. Students and office-goers are the main sufferers. What is more, digging of roads for laying pipes for different utility services adds to our woes. Commuters have to stay on roads for hours.
There must be some real reasons why the construction work got delayed and those must be made public. We appeal to the authorities concerned to take initiatives to speed up the construction work thereby giving us a relief from the excruciating traffic jam.
