A leader, not respected well

Sadly, we have forgotten Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani-the first President of the Awami Muslim League, which four years later dropped the word ‘Muslim’, founding President of the National Awami Party, one of the Advisors of the Bangladesh Government during the War for Independence of Bangladesh, leader of the have-nots, an advocate of socialism in this part of the world, one of the leaders of the Language Movement (1948-52) and of all the democratic movements.
But we try desperately to focus those who had no relation with our language to democratic movements, with our War for Independence of Bangladesh. We praise those who opposed the Partition of Bengal in 1905 and the United Bengal proposal of 1947. But we forget those who fought for our causes.
This proves our servitude attitude. It should be abandoned once for all. Otherwise we may vanish as an independent nation.
