Football, a global game
Football is not only the game of goal. It is also the game of excellent foot and headwork, dribbling, imposing pass, ball control and ball receiving, instant decision, coordination and shooting power.
In the past, the world has produced galaxies of super stars. If them, some were really extraordinary. Brazil’s Garincha was the best. He was a complete footballer and contributed to Brazil’s World Cup win in 1958 and 1962. Garincha means little bird. Experts say that Brazil’s 1962 world cup team is the best ever football team in the world.

Curb dowry related violence
Torture of women for dowry by their husbands and partners is on rise. Devoid of the teachings of Islam, most men inhumanly oppress their wives to death after payment of unlawful demands for dowry is refused or for part payment
The Prophet Muhammad (SM) has banned beating wives. The Prophet issued this decree during his farewell Hajj speech in 630 A.D. Any one who violates the Prophet’s injunction will be dealt with accordingly.
On the other hand, Allah has made dowry lawful for wives to be paid by their husbands. As such, the government may draft a new law with provision of severe punishment for demanding dowry and beating wives.
About settlement of family dispute, Allah says in the Quran, Surah Nisa, Verse-35, if wives become impertinent, a two-member arbitration board, one from each side, will be formed for reconciliation. Commentators said, the board’s decision is binding on both wife and husband.
The arbitration board will be formed when three other measures mentioned in the previous verse do not work. Allah has also delegated power to women in Verse No. 128 to divorce their husbands in the way, which we pursue in our country.
As such, may we request the government to issue decree to save women from torture to death, and maltreatment?
