Clubs for promoting values
It is disappointing that most people, even teachers and students, are completely in the dark about the existence of 20,886 integrity or honesty clubs although the Anti-corruption Commission started founding them in secondary schools and madrassahs in 2011. If there had been an intense campaign on the issue, the clubs could imbue our youths with the spirit of reforms, essential to the creation of enlightened leaders of a nation. To activate the clubs, the government needs to form a committee composed of people working against corruption to formulate a strategy to promote moral values through debates, discussions and the sharing of anecdotes. Awareness campaigns are also very important in this regard.
