International Women’s Day Programme
March 8 is International Women’s day. It is observed all over the world, many programmes are also arranged in Bangladesh to celebrate it. But we are taken aback by learning that police obstructed the opposition political party’s scheduled march. It was the BNP’s Women Wing, Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal who arranged a rally to celebrate the day. The female leaders and activists of the BNP gathered at the gate of their office at Nayapaltan but the activists were forced into the office by police and were barred from bringing out the rally.
I think from now on we should not be shocked by any happenings because in the present circumstances everything is possible. January 5, 2014 has taught us a lesson.
