The politics of election
January 5, 2014 and April 28, 2015, two different elections, one was general election and the other city corporation election. The difference is in the first one the opposition did not participate and in the second one twenty-party alliance participated but the result is the same. In 2014 Awami League formed the government not caring about anything and this time also they made sure that their candidates will win the race.
Leaders of Awami League brag “We know “kaushal” how to win an election” and surely they know it. We learned that activists of the pro-ruling Chatra League occupied polling stations with police and other law-enforcement agencies lending them a helping hand, they filled the ballot boxes after stamping the ballot papers.
What the Election Commission has to say about this, this sort of incidents would not have happened if army was deployed, why the decision was changed in the last moment is a mystery.
