Now the Test series
The two Test cricket match series between the hosts Bangladesh and the visiting Pakistan begins today in Khulna. Bangladesh Television will live telecast the match from the spot.
Since the hosts outclassed the visitors in the other two versions of cricket, all eyes will be on our players as to what they do. Patience and concentration of mind on the pitch are the two good qualities a player needs to deliver good presentation.
The discovery of the limited version of cricket reduced the attraction of the Test cricket for which stadiums all over the cricket world remain almost empty. But the good news is that the longer version is regaining its past glory. In this regard, we may travel back to the 1960-61 series between the hosts Australia and the visiting West Indies. Cricket experts have attributed this series as the ever best series and the first test that ended in a tie as the ever best test match.
Bangladesh may not have cricketers like Sobers, Frank Worrell, Richie Benaud, Alan Davidson, Wesley Hall, O’Neil and Rohan Kanhai; but we have Sakib, Tamim, Mushfiqur, Rubel, Mashrafee and Mahmudullah to bring the result in our favour.
