Cricket needs reforms

The ICC (International Cricket Council) again made three blunders on Sunday, the final day of the 11th Cricket World Cup in Melbourne. The first one was that the ICC chairman, who is an Indian, handed prizes on the final day though the ICC president was the right person. The ICC President AHM Mostafa Kamal said that it was violation of the constitution. He continued that he lawfully protested willful mistakes made by the umpires in the match between Bangladesh and India.
The second mistake was that the third umpire deliberately gave a decision against New Zealand, whereas the Australian wicketkeeper Haddin picked up the ball from the ground.
The ICC in a statement claimed that the 2015 World Cup was a great success and every day stadium was jam-packed. In truth, nothing could be more ridiculous than this statement. On more than two-third days, the stadium galleries became endless expanse of arid land. Truly speaking, greater number of audience watched the matches of the Asia Cup Football championship held in January in the same country.
Finally, the ICC said that 10 nations, not 14 like today, would take part in the final round of the 12th World Cup. It is nothing but emergence of cricket imperialism. We condemn all these harmful decisions. We demand reforms.
