Another case of brutality
Abu Sayerd, a nine year old schoolboy was kidnapped and brutally murdered by none other but a police personnel who was supposed to protect and save the life of the boy as part of his professional norms. We do not know how his family will bear this agony, we have no words to console them.
Now-a-days, members of law-enforcing agencies are becoming more involved in criminal activities, in the past one year it has increased alarmingly, they are committing petty crimes to ghoulish acts. The abduction and killings of seven persons in Naraynganj whose bodies were put in sacks and were dumped in the river, which horrified the nation was done by some members of the Rapid Action Battalion, our elite force!
We do not know why they are not given exemplary punishment; others are becoming more daring by the governments lenient attitude. Members of law-enforcing agencies who are guilty must face justice without delay. Still we would like very much to believe that these incidences of crimes are being committed by the spoiled segments, numbering a few, of the concurred agencies and the vast majority of the forces are in no way involved in these acts of crimes. However, by disciplining the persons involved in acts of crime, the forces can regain their lost public confidence.
