Flying Team Bangladesh :
And so, setting aside all predictions and calculations, Bangladesh are flown into the quarterfinals of the World Cup Cricket 2015 for the first time of their cup history after a 15 runs victory over England. What they did in the journey which the Bangladeshi players began in 1999 and though they were eliminated in the first round, made no mistake to shatter Pakistan by 62 runs in England.
Now if Bangladesh become 3rd, they will probably face South Africa or the team that finish second in Group B, and if finish at rock-bottom, challenger are defending champions India. Our last group match is against New Zealand and England will take on war-torn Afghanistan.
However, the attendance crisis continues. Observers say that greater number of people witnessed the Asian Cup Football 2015 held in Australia in January, exposing crowd’s growing aversion for cricket. Some matches are witnessed by not more than 1000 spectators. Thin attendance is a bad signal for this sport.
We congratulate Bangladeshi players for their splendid victory.
