How could the Prime Minister outright reject the initiative of a dialogue by saying that talks with Khaleda would mean encouraging militancy? The present unrest is political but the government is trying to picture it as terrorism but people will not accept it.
For this situation Awami League government is solely responsible , January 5 election in which people did not participate is the root of all these miseries. The Prime Minister took charge of the country as the Prime Minister so the welfare of the people rests on her, she just cannot ignore it, she cannot shrug off the dialogue initiative because it is not the demand only of the twenty – party alliance, it is the demand of the people of Bangladesh, she must never forget that.
