The unexplained reform call
Egypt’s self-claimed President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi has called for drastic reforms in Islam, without elaborating what does he mean by reform? I do not know whether he has studied the Holy Quran, the Books of Hadith and the life of the Prophet Muhammad (SM), and such books outlines that Islami economics and social order.
Allah says in the Verse No. 36 of Sura Bani-Israel, “Speak (or Pursue) not that of which you have no knowledge.” Through this column, I take the opportunity to explain the outlines of Islami economy.
“Transfer not the property, which Allah has given you as means of sustenance, to the men of weak understanding, but feed and clothe them and speak kind words.”-Surah An-Nisa, Verse No.5
“I accept Namaj (Prayers) of him who feeds the hungry, clothes the clotheless, shelters the needy and show kindness to the poor,”-Hadith-e-Qudsi.
“Feed the hungry, attend the sick and release the (innocent) prisoners,”-Prophet Muhammad (SM).
I hope, the matter will be cleared to all.

Increasing per capita production
Father of economics Adam Smith described economics as science of resources, while modern Economist L. Robins called it ‘science of scare’. On the other hand, Economists William and Batrick says that economic development is a process whereby the people of a country or a region come to utilize the resources available to bring about sustained increase in per capita production of goods and services.
But enough resources are not enough for achieving economic development unless backed by good planning and execution under strong management with skilled manpower.
Verily the journey to economic development is hindered by the presence of massive corruptions and narrowness in politics. Although China has become the world No. 1 economic power by PPP, economists fear that the country may not be able to retain it for long because of severe corruptions and narrowness in politics in that country at both private and public sectors. This is not in the case of China alone; it applies to every country of the world.
We should be alert while planning future plan.
