Inaccessible Uttara Passport Office
I had been to the Regional Passport Office at Uttara at Road No : 7 Sector 12 on 05/01/2015. By God, who on the earth had chosen that 5 (Five) storied House as a Regional Passport Office, where people of all ages need to go to obtain their passport deserve thanks for their inovative acts to make people suffer!
I was shocked when I saw a very elderly person age varying between 75 to 80 years was gasping when he reached the 3rd floor of the building. He has to go additional two stairs to reach the 5th floor. Out of compassion, I asked The gentle man his name, so that I can give authentic information to the ‘Newspaper’ where I intend to print this unacceptable choice of the building for Regional Passport Office. The gentleman’s name was Siddiqur Rahman who himself told me that he was a retired Joint Secretary. Accompanying him was his wife who could not go to the 5th floor on her own and sat on the chair which was provided to her immediately upon seeing her fatigue.
I requested the Ansar on duty to hold the elderly lady and to take her to the 5th floor. The retired Joint Secretary looked at me for a while, whispered (may be, I was lucky to get his doa) and then started to climb the stairs to go to the 5th floor.
For God’s sake, I urge the Government to either kindly ask the land lord to fix a lift or the Govt. may kindly shift the Regional Passport Office to a new locality, on a building which is congenial for persons of all ages to suitably use the place as and when they need to go to the place for obtaining passport.
The authority may kindly look into the issue and give a remedy over the existing situation.

Faridabad-Gandaria roads need repair
Faridabad-Gandaria is a well-known area in the old part of the city. About 7/8 lakh people live in the locality. But most of the thoroughfares here are in a bad shape. The potion of the road between Loharpool (K.B.Road) and Postagola is in a battered condition with so many ditches developed here and there. Rain water accumulates in the ditches on the road causing inconvenience to the passersby. Due to the worsening condition of the roads, the area is lagging behind in trade and commerce and people of this locality have no opportunity to enjoy the facilities of the city life. Now Postagola, Jurain and Shampur road is in very bad condition.
The authority concerned is, therefore, requested to take necessary measures to repair the road between Loharpool (K.B.Road and Postagola and parts of those in Gandaria, K.B.Road, Millbarack, Faridabad, Dhalkanagar Lane, I.G.Gate, Karimullahbagh that runs up and down the Loharpool at the earliest.
