Separation by death
is not evadable
Former MP, State Minister and RUCSU General Secretary Sardar Amzad Hossain is no more. He died last Friday as it (death) is inevitable. Islami scholars define death as separation of soul from body. But soul will not vanish as it will continue to receive light from Angel, contrary body will be vanished into dust because departure of soul will make it motionless as well as lifeless. The next development is that every soul shall stand for trial in the Court of Allah. This is inevitable.
I met Sardar Amzad Hossain for the first time in 1966 at Rajshahi University. He was then on the course of leaving the varsity adter completion of Masters. As a student leader, he was active, popular, polite and prudent. There were three more student leaders of similar qualities at that time. They are former MP and State Minister Professor Abu Sayed, Professor Zulfiqar Matin and RUCSU VP late Abdur Rahman.
I heard from other students after my admission into Honours Course when a student came to Rajshahi University for admission into Honours or Masters Courses, the above student leaders helped him to get admission because to them ‘education is the foremost.’
All of them were associated with the East Pakistan Students League and out and out nationalists. I mourn the death of Sardar Amzad Hossain and pray to Allah for salvation of his soul. However, this separation by death cannot be evaded and hence inevitable.
