The brave sons of the soil
When we write about the war for independence of Bangladesh, we forget the contribution and sacrifice of our national heroes-military or civilians. Most of the population does not know the names of Sector Commanders. Major (retired) M.A.Jalil, the first political prisoner in the independent Bangladesh, Major A.K.M. Nazmul Haque, who was mysteriously killed in a car accident in India in 1971, Brigadier General Khaled Mosharraf, who was sadly killed in 1975 in an Army coup in November labeling him as pro-Indian, Major A.T.M.Haider, killed in a Army coup in 1975, Lieutenant (retired) Abu Osman Chowdhury, and Colonel Shaffat Jamil, who was killed in a Army Coup in August in 1975, Colonel Nuruzzaman and many others are on the list of missing.
Similarly they do not know about the Swadhin Bangla Nucleus Cell (SBNC) and who were the founding members? According to the recent discussion and counter-discussion, Sirajul Alam Khan, Abdur Razzaq and Kazi Arif Ahmed, who was mysteriously killed in 2002 in Kushtia, formed the SBNC in 1962 with the object of seceding from the colonial rule of Pakistan. Later Sheikh Fazlul Haq Moni and Tofael Ahmad joined the Cell. Strict secrecy was maintained for security reason because a leakage would have destroyed the whole plan. However, we know a little. So, may we request the living members of the Nucleus Cell to let know us know in details all about the Swadin Bangla Nucleus Cell?
