Porn addiction among youth is on the rise
Pornography (known as porn) is the portrayal of sexual subject matter for the exclusive purpose of sexual arousal. Pornography may be presented in a variety of media, including books, magazines, postcards, photographs, sculpture, drawing, painting, animation, sound recording, phone calls, writing, film, video, and video games.
Porn is like a virus in the world. In Bangladesh, adolescents are much attracted to pornography. Students are the victim of this habit. Porn can destroy the mental and physical health. Adolescent boys/girls watch porn and feel the pleasure of sex. It’s harmful for their body and mind. Internet made porn available. So in the twinkle of an eye anyone can find his desirable porn site.
Porn can never be a good thing. So we have to get rid of this from adolescents. Parents, teachers and society all need to go forward to prevent this porn addiction.
The Pornography Control act of 2012 criminalised pornography. The possession, distribution, production, and using of pornographic material was made illegal. The maximum punishment under current law is 10 years in jail and/or 500 thousand taka fine. So we need to materialise the laws.
