Do something to stop hatred crimes :
The situation is getting odd. I think, the term ‘anti-Muslim hatred’ accurately describes the phenomenon which the European Commission intends to address. It consists of preventing and combating hate speech, hate crime as well as discrimination directed against groups or individual members of such groups based on their religion or ethnic origin.
I see, over the past years’ reports from international and civil society organisations have pointed to an increase in insecurity among Non-European, especially Muslims in Europe, as well as forms of discrimination directed against individual ‘Black’ and other Afro-Asian communities.
After the Friday’s shocking incident where 49 people were killed and at least 20 others critically injured by the Australian gunman at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand; the issue of anti-Muslim hatred has gain become to the forefront. I think the situation will deteriorate gradually in the future if actions are not taken against it. The global community must address the issue seriously.
