Ensure security at HSIA
Security lapse at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka has become a very common scenario nowadays. The security affairs of HSIA have come to fore again following the hijack attempt of a Dubai bound flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. The issue again got attention of the common people following the access of actor Ilias Kanchon with a handgun defying the security surveillance.
Airport officials claimed that, a four-tier security arrangement put in place at the HSIA in line with International Aviation Rules. But when a passengers passes through the so-called tight security carrying firearms, it highlights security lapses of the airport. As a regular passenger of domestic and international routes, I do urge the government to take appropriate steps to ensure airport security.
