Messi and Neymar did nothing for their countries, but Ronaldo won at least Continental Cup for his country Portugal in 2016. The critics and the media leave no words in their containers in praising the skills and footwork of those three highest paid footballers in the world. It means that they are not world class footballers. Brazil won the World Cup in 1994 and 2002 with less famed footballer. So, did Argentina in 1978 and 1986. Maradona alone guided his country 32 years ago.
Few weeks ago, PSG sans Neymar and Cavani trounced Manchester United 2-0 in the Champions Cup, proving that the team owner made a mistake in hiring a joker player like Neymar. Contrarily, Juventus with Ronaldo lost to Atelico Madrid by the same margin and Barcelona drew with Lyon 0-0.
In truth, worthiness of a player is proved by team’s success e. The sports reporters and writers, commentators should restrain their pens when they write about or relay a match.
