Uphold the welfare of people
The auspicious month of December has arrived, the month in which victory was achieved, the month of celebration and rejoicing. But this time it is different, fear ,anxiety and hopelessness have replaced happiness and delight not knowing what is going to happen in the next general election, will it be free, fair and acceptable one, people are skeptical and feeling very uneasy.
We are noticing that nomination papers of many prominent candidates have not been accepted on flimsy grounds, why the election commission is doing this, it seems mysterious.
In the liberation war valiant sons of this country sacrificed their lives to give us a free country where we could live in peace but we have failed, injustice has taken over, conflicts of sorts are routine affairs. W are a nation who have to remain engulfed in sorrow and despair.
Will the next general election make a change and will people be able to heave a sigh of relief getting back their rights as the citizens of this country? We hope those who are in power will not ignore the welfare of the sixteen crore people of Bangladesh and shift their stance and act benevolently.
