Use of EVM
The news published in The Daily Star on August 27,2018 has made us very upset and indignant. It said that Election Commission is planning to use EVM in the next general election and it is a hasty plan which will cost TK 3,821 crore for procuring 1.5 lakh electronic voting machines.
People do not want EVM so for whose interest EC is planning this when only a few months are left before next general election?
We protest vehemently, the plan must be dropped immediately,the EC has no right to waste people’s money in this way. We still do not know if there will be an acceptable election or it will be the repetition of 2014.
We hope and pray that good sense will prevail, an inclusive and free and fair election will be held which is a must for the image of the present government.
