Disappeared water bodies

The city roads go under water when it rains in torrents. Whenever it rains, the city residents suffer untold sufferings. But we enjoyed raining in our village life.
There was no water logging, no traffic jam.
The total number of roads and streets are 12 percents of the whole of Dhaka city, whereas it should be 25 percent, experts say.
The water bodies share two percent only, though it is supposed to be 10 percent at least. In the record books, there are 58 canals in the city of Dhaka, but in reality there are existence of few.
This is the first cause of water logging and traffic jam.
Most of the city residents are unconscious. They throw waste, including polythene, in the drains and anywhere they wish. This is the second reason. Management crisis and posting of unfit persons in offices is the fourth reason.
Unless the reasons are removed, sufferings will continue.
